WHY WE SERVE COFFEE & SANDWICHES AFTER EACH PERFORMANCE
Ridgedale Players has been committed to putting “the Community in Community Theatre” since its’ very beginning.
Ridgedale was founded in the Great Depression partially by a grant from the Federal Government. This grant required Ridgedale to serve free food after each show. And so, the tradition of serving coffee and sandwiches to our patrons began in the 1930’s.
Although this grant requirement no longer requires Ridgedale to serve food after each show, we proudly continue this tradition to this day.
Ridgedale is truly appreciative of everyone who attends our performances and this is our small way of saying “thank you” for supporting community theatre.
In a time where traditions are often discarded, Ridgedale commits to keeping a tradition alive that has spanned many decades; serving its’ patrons coffee and sandwiches after each performance. At Ridgedale, we strive for put on quality shows and to “put the Community in Community Theatre.”
