Music by Alan Menken

Lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice

Book by Linda Woolverton

Based on the original Broadway production that ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. features some of the most popular songs ever written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household servants will be doomed for all eternity.       Rated G

Co-conceived by Eric Idle

Based on the works of Dr. Seuss

The Cat in the Hat narrates this musical story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many “thinks.”  Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but also guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.  Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, his kind next-door neighbor, Gertrude McFuzz, never loses faith in him.  Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.   Seussical is fun for the whole family!       Rated G
